Pink Pig Printable for Brown Bear Texture Book

For the Pink Pig page, cut pink tissue paper into small squares.  Spread a thin layer of white glue, and stick the pink squares down like a collage so you have no white space showing underneath.  We found it was best to work on a small area at time, as the glue dried quickly and the tissue paper wouldn’t stick.  We cut a pink pipe cleaner to fit the tail space, curled it, and used white glue to stick it on for the grand finale.

(The following is a repost from our preschool coop on 5/5/12)

This week was pink pig week which means…

it is our final Fun Friday of this school year…

and 4 more days until California!!  (The Grandparents can’t wait to get ahold of these cheeks!)

Bubby and Peter were maximizing their boy time,

Sissy got a surprise visit from Belle,

and Jooby learned a new climbing trick.  Isn’t he cool?  hehe

Now back to work on those pink pigs,

then it was time to make Pigs in a Blanket.  (I had set out a frozen ball of our Homemade Pizza Dough just before children arrived.  By cooking time, we just cut it into 8 pieces and gave everyone a chunk to roll and flatten.  Once it is big enough to set the hot dog on top, sprinkle some shredded cheese, then roll it up and pinch the ends closed.  Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes.)

While they were in the oven, Misty read us some pig books from our Farm book box.

Then it was time to eat and run.  (I had to reassure my children that ours were Pollo in a Blanket because they were really chicken franks.  hehe)
